| Heres a little rough outline of the short booklete I'm working on.. its still rough around the edges and needs cleaning up but yeah. Please give any advice you have to make my story more interesting.. also if anyone is willing to be an editor for me seeing as I suck with grammar and spelling.. that would be great.
Plot- In an earth where all the power has been taken to it's limits, the only source of light is the sun and the only water is the oceans, rivers, and lakes a group of scientists with good intentions at heart stole 500 children between the ages of 3 years old and 13 years old from their family to mutate them. They mixed the DNA with animals, creating humans more capable to survive in this new world. The project is known as Generation P, and when the idea first came out there was lots of fighting. So much that it even led to a war that still hasn't quite ended even after most of the materials were used up. Without the support they needed the group of scientists went on with Generation P, greating several mutants. Some are complete disasters that are often "put down" and some turn out great. Either way, the scientists have obviously lost their noble goal, as now it seems that they are simply prodding and poking at unneeded things, as the world had already survived 20 years of the broken earth, well most of them anyways. With the war still raging on, a group consisting of 3 escaped lab experiments from Generation P and a mysterious man saying he's an angel and a young boy who ran away from home when he was going to be taken for Generation P 2 years ago are running from a group calling themselves hunters. With the war still raging around them, and sometimes getting caught up in the war it's proving to be difficult to avoid being taken back to the lab.
Setting- Although the world is broken, and earth is now by the name of Broken Earth the only thing that really changed is that everything, mostly everything at least is gone. Most of the roads are grown over with grass and tree roots, moss. The buildings have veins running up their sides and lots of cracks, no light fills the city at night when the sun is down and even with the sun up the large buildings cast shadows across the broken streets. There are little remains of what used to be, gas stations with little gas left and a few broken and shattered cars but mainly only the Tamicor make use of these little materials, the others just leave them be for whatever reason, mankind just grew away from the technology they had come to rely on, the technology that had all at once gone out for no reason. All the lights, the televisions, computers, everything and after a while, not even the little things like phones and hand held games just became useless things, the world had bigger problems arising with the war and Generation P, the world no longer lived in paradise. It stayed this way until 3 years later after the break down, the Tamicor got hold of the left energy. They isolated their own city and cleaned it out of plants and grass that had grown over in that time, they powered up a few cars and unlike the others that travel by horses or by foot, and fight for survival and entertain themselves by running around outside and playing with everyone, they lived like normal despite the war.
Clans- This suspiciously named Clan resides in the mountains. They watch from far up at night or are out prowling other Clan territory to perform attacks later and they mostly sleep at day light, doing all else at night to avoid the fighting. The Noctera's leader is one of the oldest survivors of the broken earth, being at the age of 85. This is one of the more submissive clans, staying in the shadows until they must get involve, they also refuse to form an alliance with any other clan except their close friends, The Celimador though they have the strongest army. This clans clan animal is the wolf, they also keep these ferocious beasts as pets. The Celimador is the only clan that never fights. They are full of healers who specialize in herbs and were previously doctors before the broken earth happened. They live along the river side right near the mountains where the Noctera reside. They have a firm alliance with the Nocteras, the Nocteras being their army and The Celimador providing the Noctera with medical attention, though if they ever help another clan the alliance will soon end. The Celimador clans clan animal is the otter. The Tamicor is friends with no one, they are the only clans to support Generation P to this day and there for house the scientists. This clan is the last one with technology and working power and running water. They aren't really a clan meant for fighting, but they do have very high security with the type of technology they house. The Tamicor are the dominant clan, they seek to destroy those other clans that protest against them, and will no doubt kill anyone to get their point across. Much like the Nocteras, though the Darada are more power hungry like the Tamicor. Surprisingly the Darada and the Tamicor are fierce enemies, they are often the only two at battle some times, and in most cases the Darada win because the Tamicor often surrender in fear of losing all of their people. The Darada care not of the issues with the Generation P project, but simply more to dominate everything. Not an official clan, the outers are the only ones willing to take on anyone and form alliances with anyone who is ready to defend the lost souls in Generation P. They are the only group, though the smallest, that haven't given up on rescuing those who are trapped in Generation P, becoming monsters with little left of their previous self. They aren't exactly the strongest group, but they don't ever give up. There are only about 30 in the outers, and often in the war so many die that its up to only 6 members left, but they always come back quickly, ready to strike. Their main enemy is the Tamicor, they have a small and unsteady alliance with the Darada and do associate with the Celimador, but never formed an alliance as the Celimador always refuses.
Characters-
- The main group (protagonists):
Gruine- Brother of Grim, a more lean and tall 16 year old with excellent fighting skills. Messy black hair thats is often thick with gel and pointed into a mohawk. The center of his hair is a faded white color in the center where the mohawk is, he is blind in one of his brown eyes. Intelligent, temperamental, serious, untrusting , selfish. Iris- An older girl, 19 years old though far less civilized then a normal human. She knows English simply from hearing others speak it and her cell partner, 108 who often teaches her English. She has long red hair that reaches down to her lower back. She has bright yellow eyes with thin cat-like pupils and her two canines extend down lower then an average humans, freckles dapple her face. Skittish, Playful, temperamental, cocky, nice. Nocte- A mysterious man looking around the age of 27 claiming to be an angel. Sandy colored hair and one bright blue eye, the other eye is covered by an eye patch and it is currently unknown what his other eye looks like, though it is only logical that it is blue as well. He is sort of like Gruine's nicer side, persuading him to think of not only himself but of their whole group, more of a deputy type in the group. Nice, friendly, optimistic, caring, sympathetic, smart, funny, slightly immature. 108- A larger man who seems to be in his early twenties, faint freckles are noticeable across his pale skin around his nose. He has brown hair and darker green eyes, very smart and mysterious with a dark past looming over his head. He doesn't have a name, and unlike Iris he never created his own name so he just goes by his cell number. Mysterious, caring, smart, sensitive, temperamental, awkward. Soare- The youngest of the group, a 12 year old boy that often thinks to highly of himself. He had escaped 1 week after Iris and 108 and he often believes he's a god of the sun because of his abilities as a hybrid and refuses to think of himself any lesser. He tends to be quite annoying but this young lad proves to be great help in battle when he does as he's told. He has interesting hair, a natural light grey color near the tips and slowly darkens to a black at the top. He has bright orange eyes and a brand of a twisted and tribal looking sun on his collar bone. Cocky, arrogant, aggressive, sympathetic, nervous at times, emotional, sarcastic. The twin of Astru, he wears bindings around his entire body because like his sister he was one of the experiments that were the effort to create a human weapon. Unlike Astru Soare has issues controlling when he shifts so he was far more dangerous and far more.. pointy. Astru- Looking much like her brother Astru knows very well that her and her brother are simply mutations and not gods but chooses to play along with her brother. Although her brother had been mixed with an Ox's DNA and so has horns and a tail Astru was mixed with a hawk like 259. She is just as predatory but far more dangerous and unpredictable. Like her brother there are several scars on her body where scientists had cut into to try and turn her into a human weapon. Although her brother is afraid of their power as human weapons, she embarrasses it.
001- The first experiments in the lab that held Soare, Iris, and 108, 001 is seen as a mess up by most other creatures left roaming the broken lands he is rejected by most. His arm is a complete lizard arm with scales and claws and all, his tongue is a forked one and his green eyes are slits. He has shaggy light blonde, almost white hair thats usually covered by a red cloak that also covers his mutated arm. Maybe if it weren't for all the hate he wouldn't be quite so twisted but the rude comments and fights he gets into made the words the scientists said to him sound even more true, and so he ended up working for them as a sort of hunter, rounding up escaped prisoners. Confused, sad, nervous, aggressive, slightly mental, emotional, smart, pessimistic, sympathetic at times. 259- Unlike 001 there is nothing wrong with 259, he is a completely perfectly completed test subject. He more chose to be a hunter because of his predatory hawk-like nature. He has darker brown hair on the bottom and lighter brown on the top, brown eyes that are speckled with yellow and green. His finger nails are unusually sharp and could probably do some serious damage, directly between his shoulder blades two golden and brown wings can sprout out at his will, some refer to him as "Angel" rather then 259. Arrogant, aggressive, negative, sarcastic, cruel, serious. Siren- Siren is another one of those mysterious types, she doesn't actually seem to want to work for the Generation P project, but she does for money so she can feed her younger brother. She keeps her face hidden under a hooded cloak but long black locks of hair fallout from the cloak, running off of her shoulders. As far as anyone knows she isn't a mutant, though there are some legends that she is Generation P's version of a Siren, thus her little nick name. Her voice so elegant it's said to sort of put enemies in a trance just long enough for 001 and 259 to attack and capture. |
