Lupay growled at the warning shot then ran towards Kitana dodgeing the Granu's steps. He shifts back to human for and kneels near her. "Come on, you have to get up." He shakes her shoulder lightly and turns his attention back to Kamaji and the granu. He then pats her cheek trying to get her back up. Several shadows had just gathered around his feet, he hadn't summoned them and yet they came to him like magnets. Lupay flung a shadow over the Granus eyes and stood up.

Kitana moaned but didn't move, her head spinning.Kamaji noticed the attack of shadows and glared down at the obnoxious boy belong."Get out of here!"He yelled as he dragged the monsters attention back to him, throwing magic at it furiously."Get Kitana out of here.I will join you once I know the two of you are safe from harm."He waved a hand vaguely towards a thin path, leading away from the danger."That way!Go now."

Lupay let out a short growl at the demand. Then picked up Kitana with one arm under her knees ad the other behind her shoulders. He exhaled and followed the faint thin path the Kamaji had pointed to. He began to walk then pck up his pace. The noises of the beast and Kamaji started to fade the farther down the path. Lupay began to stumble slightly and then went to a sitting position and set Kitana down. His arms ached for he wasn't extremely strong. The sound of the battle was all but a whisper in the woods. He looked down at Kitana and patted her cheek again trying to get her up. He remained sitting watching the woods.

Kitana blinked her eyes open and found herself on the ground with Lupay holding her, trying to rouse her.She groaned softly and blinked a few times."Where...is....Kamaji."She asked in a raspy voice, her words slow.Her hearing picked up a battle, far from herself and him.When he didn't answer, she spoke Lupay's name as intelligible as she possibly could.

Lupay turns and looks at her with a frosty gaze. "You're welcome and he is fighting the Granu. He said he would return once we were safe." His tone was hardened and he turned his gaze down the path. The moon had risen and the grass seemed to take a silvery light. Lupay looked up at the sky, almost starting to feel homesick. He sighs quietly and then sits with his legs out in front of him and leans back on his elbows. He starts to pluck away pieces of the silvery grass, his black hair hung slightly over his eyes as he listened for sounds of Kamaji returning.

Kitna sat up but toppled to her side as pain shot through her head.She prayed kamaji would be alright.She knew the Grunul would be trouble."You two should have gone down further."Kamaji's voice said as he leaped to the ground from a nearby tree.Kitana closed her eyes with a sigh of relief as she felt kamaji take her up in his arms."Let's go."He said firmly to Lupay as he walked away.

Lupay clenches his teeth and stands up to follow Kamaji. He can feel his irritation rising as he followed a distance behind the two. He pulls up his good and puts his hands in his pockets. Maybe I should just find a way to get back to my own time. My own place. he continues walking in silence.

Kamaji came to another clearing miles from where he had slain the monster.Kitana had fallen into a deep slumber and he set her carefully down against the trunk of a tree.He examined her body and noticed a bump on her head.Kamaji's jaw clenched and he pulled a small bottle from his sleeve and put it to her lips.The liquid dripped mostly down the side of her chin and he wiped the extra liquid away before resting his palm against her cheek.He spoke a moment later."You should have checked if she was wounded."He said with a slight irritation in his voice though it was soft.

Lupay exhales, "She's your problem not mine." He regrets his words as he says them. His eyes flashed a near black and he turned coughing in to the crook up his elbow, the salty metallic taste of blood on his tongue, he stops coughing and mutters. "I'm going to find something to eat, I won't be far." He turns heading in to the woods knowing they would be hungry from miles of travel.

Kamaji grunted and glanced over his shoulder as he watched Lupay leave.He sighed and stood, leaving Kitana behind, he went after the boy."Food in this place isn't easy to find."He said as he caught up to Lupay's heels.

Lupay sighs, "Well there has to be some around her hasn't there?" he tilts his head towards Kamaji and then asks, "How long will we be stuck here?" His tone is curious and some what desperate.

Kamaji chuckled."If you were one of us, you would know there are risks of hunting any animal, even if it is just a worm."Kamaji leaped onto a tall boulder and scouted the land ahead."We will need to stay here until Kitana is back on her feet.She is the only one powerful enough to grant us safe passage to the Elders Temple where we may be safe."

Lupay smiled slightly, "Well seeing I am not one of you I wouldn't know that. And who would want to eat a worm?" He looked up at Kamaji staying on the grass. "That's good to know I guess" He walks around the boulder a few times for no real reason, just to keep moving.

Kamaji chuckled at Lupay question, clearly amused."Boy, in a life of the elves, you eat anything to keep you alive."He watched Lupay pace and shook his head."I wouldn't move around so much.It attracts predators."

Lupay stopped paceing and muttered, "Worms... eh. And I have to keep moving it helps." He doesn't give any further explanation but he stops paceing and instead observes the shadows in the woods.

Kamaji snorts."You only move in the eve of battle when the enemy is firing at your back."He said flatly.He jumped from the boulder and landed on the ground with a soft thump."Come."He said,"We will have greater luck in finding food if we search the shadowed caves."Kamaji shouldered paced Lupay and stomped off into the dense trees of the forest.

Lupay nods and then grunts as Kamaji shoulders him. He followed him with silent and light steps. Several shadows pulled at the end of his pants wanting attention. He grumbles and dusts them off muttering, "These little things don't know when to leave me alone.."

Kamaji heard Lupays mutterings and sighed."Perhaps you should go back and keep Kitana company.When she wakes, she may want to know what's happened."A tease was hinted in his voice.

Lupay chuckled, :Are you trying to get rid of me?" He continues on walking and then says, "Why didn't you just stay with Kitana? She is your 'betrothed' or whatever the word is, arent you?"

Kamaji paused at Lupays words and turned on his heal to face Lupay with a cold stare."Your not one of us, Shadow wielder."Kamaji spat."Your a nu sense.Kitana is elven and heir to the throne.She is destined to marry only the one the council has chosen for her.Do you understand?"Kamaji held Lupays gaze, never blinking.

Lupay snarled, "I only asked a question. You obliviously can't take a joke and if you don't back up I'll have to hurt you ok?" The dark forms started to writhe around Lupays feet making growling and whineing sounds. He held Kamaji's gaze blinking once.

Kamaji swung his fist at the boy with lightening speed and felt it make contact with his jaw."Let's see you try."Kamaji hissed coldly, venom dripping in his voice.White mists surrounded the elven warrior and a grin pulled at his lips.His eyes blazed.

Lupay stumbled back at the sudden impact of Kamajis fist on his jaw. He almost instantly recovered the shock with anger and swung his fist at Kamaji. Not with the same speed but with a hard impact to the side of the elfs head, he then shoves Kamaji hard enough to cause him to stumble a bit. A black mist surrounded Lupay in contrast with elves white mist.

Kamaji grunted with Lupays counter attacks.He chuckled."Weak."He spat."Kitana looks for the strongest, but you don't know her.Your merely a child.No man would dare hold your hand to cross the Broken Bridge."

Lupay snaps back, "What if I don't even want her anymore hmm? Maybe I did but now I know she is yours. But tell me if I am merely a child then how did I at least manage to harm you? And Broken Bridge? I cant take that as a insult if I don't even know what it is!" He spreads his arms in an exaggerated gesture and looks at Kamaji
